Silver Spoon is a school-age Earth Pony,who makes her first appearance in Call of the Cutie alongside Diamond Tiara,she is a co-antagonist. Her and Diamond Tiara are fellow classmates to the Cutie Mark Crusaders; her name and cutie mark are derived from the phrase, "being born with a spoon in your mouth" which implies to wealth and privilege.Silver Spoon's voice actress, Shannon-Chan Kent is also the singing voice of Pinkie Pie.
Personality[]
Silver Spoon shares the same personality with Diamond Tiara, both being snooty,stuck up and mean,as well as calling ponies without Cutie Marks "Blank Flanks". Silver Spoon seems to be more of a follower and Diamond Tiara being the leader.They both share a special hoofshake, with Silver Spoon showing some genuine concern for her feelings, in Family Appreciation Day, Silver Spoon is the first to start clapping after Granny Smith finishes her story,even after denouncing Granny's odd behaviour as something Apple Bloom should be ashamed of along with Diamond Tiara.
History[]
In Call of the Cutie, Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara invite Apple Bloom and Twist to Diamond's cute-ceanera,a party to those who have recently earned their cutie marks. With the purpose that Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon and the party attendees can make fun both of them. Twist, however manages to earn her cutie mark after finding her special talent. Unfortunately, Apple Bloom hasn't earned her cutie mark yet.
When Apple Bloom tries desperately to hide during the party, with a table cloth. She bumps into the guests of honor, Diamond Tiara along with her friend,Silver Spoon. Right after Apple Bloom lies about claiming that she earned her cutie mark earlier, but, says that she doesn't want to take all the attention away from Diamond Tiara. To which, Diamond Tiara replies that she didn't want to see it anyway. As Apple Bloom prepares to leave, her makeshift dress shifts, and it exposes her flank. Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara don't take a second to hesitate and make fun of Apple Bloom, but the teasing gets ignored when two other blank flank ponies explain how much potential and how many possiblities are still open for Apple Bloom. Silver Spoon is later seen standing in a stairway alongside Diamond Tiara watching the ponies partying.
